Car accident in Virginia Beach kills 1, injures 1

Just the same as any other part of the state, there are car accidents in and around Virginia Beach on a regular basis. While some of these incidents are minor fender benders, others result in serious injury or even death.

A recent car accident in Virginia Beach left one woman dead and sent another to the hospital. According to Virginia Beach Police, dispatchers were notified of a two vehicle head on collision on Princess Anne Road at approximately 7:30 a.m.

After a preliminary investigation, it is believed that a pickup truck was driving north when it drove off the right side of the road. As a result, the driver steered back onto the road, over-correcting while doing so. This led to the car making its way into the southbound lane, subsequently causing the head on collision.

One of the trucks caught fire, but a passerby was able to remove one of the victims despite the wreckage. A 62-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and another driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

This car accident was the result of one driver leaving the roadway and not being able to correct this mistake in the appropriate manner. This led to a head-on collision, which left one person dead and another seriously injured.

A car accident like this can happen at any time in anywhere in the country. Even when somebody is paying attention to the road, they never know if they will be safe because somebody else could make an error. If you suffer injuries because another person was reckless or negligent behind the wheel, you may be able to pursue compensation through a personal injury lawsuit.
